Barge (Continued)

#266
Source material: Grand Canyon, honey locust bean pods, oil drill chart, postscript print error, forest fire
It has been exciting to continue exploring in black and white, and while I could not resist turning off the adjustment layer that renders everything in grayscale when I thought the image was complete, the results were not nearly as intriguing as the BW. The following images in this week's post were all created in RGB with the top layer being the grayscale adjustment, so there was a lot more interaction between layers, but I was always looking at them as BW during their creation.

#265
Source material: Oil derrick, checker wrapping paper, Japanese cloud/wave pattern
The normal 90 degree pattern was severely warped to give the vaulted ceiling feel.

#264
Source material: Honey locust bean pods, oil drill chart, postscript print error, accounting ledger
I look at these bean pods every day, as this arrangement by Ann sits high above my monitor. I can't believe that it's taken me this long to use it.

#263
Source material: Honey locust bean pods, Idaho cloudscape, illiterate eyechart, letterpress blocks, dicycle
I love how digital collage equalizes everything so that I can easily combine flat graphics with three dimensional illusions.
